"Meet my friend Extell"
WORLDWIDE LONG-DISTANCE was a small local phone system provider servicing the community. They were known for their friendly and personal service. Customers enjoyed calling in, getting assistance, and receiving the help they needed. After years of servicing the local community, they wanted to expand and advertise in order to target a broader consumer base.
First they wanted a new name.
Working with different words and sounds we settled on the word Extell. Shortening the word telephone we added the ex for a sharp and corporate effect. Extell is easy to say and simple to remember.
Once we decided on a name we worked on a logo that will resonate with the business. We put the focus on the X by giving it a unique edge.For the brand color we chose deep blue as it is professional and serious, we added a touch of bright green for a friendly and approachable effect. It’s a perfect balance and it describes Extell and its business to a tee.
THE EXTELL AD CAMPAIGN.
When a cherubic round panda takes the mike everyone listens. As phone systems is a very technical and unexciting topic we needed something fun and friendly to grab the consumer’s attention. Get to know our Extell character; he is happy, friendly and charismatic. We had the Panda introduce the brand as a good friend. He is devoted, spunky and well, funny. Being the character that he is he always has something to say that will make you smile. We included all the benefits and advantages that Extell offers.
The ad campaign ran for a few weeks in the local circulars introducing Extell in a friendly yet professional fashion. People related to Extell as phone system provider that is out to assist them and offers personal and customized service. The ads were informative and friendly and the strategy was effective.
